 Nigel de Jong dropped  from Dutch squad

Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong has been dropped from the Netherlands squad for the upcoming matches against Moldova and Sweden.
De Jong was involved in a tackle which left Hatem Ben Arfa with a double leg-break during City's 2-1 Premier League win over Newcastle on Sunday. Netherlands coach Bert Van Marwijk told the Algemeen Dagblad newspaper: "It was a wild and unnecessary offence.
"I have a problem with the way Nigel needlessly looks to push the limit."
It is not the first time the 25-year-old De Jong has been in the spotlight for aggressive tackles.

FIFA Ban: NFF goes for out-of court settlement

The drama surrounding Nigerian football took a new dimension yesterday as the National Association of Nigerian Footballers quietly withdrew the court case it instituted against the Alhaji Aminu Maigari-led board of the Nigeria Football Federation and agreed an out-of-court settlement.
With the latest development, it means the elected board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been re-instated. “We met with FIFA executive Amos Adamu and have agreed to settle the matter out of court,” disclosed president of NANF, Harrison Jalla,  last Wednesday.

FIFA suspends Nigeria
